Bette awakes.she is sweating.it is ***** hot in here..What the helllooks over its 3:00am.Tina is sound asleep.as her eyes adjust she looks over at Tina.she is sweating too.Bette then feels the heat coming off of Tinas bodyshe touches her forehead .Tina is burning up..the sheets are soakedBette jumps up and turns on a light and tries to wake Tinashe is groggyincoherent .. ok Porter think.when you were a kid and you had a fever what did mom do .yesfirst take her temperature..runs into the bathroom and gets the thermometer and takes her temp..damm its 103.*****..ok now what oh yeahruns and gets a basin and fills it with cool water and gets a bunch of wash cloths and starts putting the wash clothes on her forehead , neck, arms ..all over and then kept rotating them with cool ones .soon Tina starts to stir..moaningoh my head..Dont move baby.your sickBette whats going onI dont know but I woke up because I was sweating and so were you.but baby you have a temp of 103so Im trying to get it down.What are you doing to me?????? My mom did this to me when I had a high fever.you just keep changing the wash cloths with cool ones.see its working .because you are now awake.and I bet if I take your temperature again its down..you took my temperature?????/ yeah.and since your awake does anything else hurt .no just my head.why? well I want to give you 2 Tylenol..handing her the pills and a bottle of waterTina thinking to herself .Bette a nurse.nobody would believe it..keep sipping the water baby..yes mommy..Bette smiles.. see next time youll keep your clothes on in the pool young lady..only if you dooh yeahforget that ..I know next time youll put a robe on when you get out of the pool naked..ok that I can do .Mommy
After a while Tina temp came down the wash cloths and of course the Tylenol worked..taking her temp again 100better .Tina is sitting up still dizzy .Bette I have to pee.here let me help you no I think I can manage..Tina gets up and falls backBette catches her .ok I need help..she gets her robe and helps Tina in and out of the bathroom tells her to sit in the chase lounge .While Bette changes the sheetsTina cant believe her eyes .Bette is Florence Nightingale.After she made up the bed .she put a pair of PJs on Tina and put her back into bed and covered her upBette then gets back in bed with her holding her in her arms.In the morning you are going to the doctors..Ill be fine..Hey whos the Mommy here.you are ok then tomorrow we go see Marisa.Tina now playing along as the little girl.but Im scared of needles.if youre a good girl you can get a lollypop..will you come in with me and hold my hand.of course.Tina rests her head on Bettes chest and soon falls fast asleep..

Bette was up early..calling work for Tina and then calling in for herself..she called the doctors office and got an appointment at 1:00 with Marisa..she made Tina a cup of tea and brought it into the bedroom..as Bette was getting back in bed Tina was waking up.Bette handed her 2 more Tylenol.and then gave her the tea..Tina looking at the clock.oh ***** I have to call work.dont worry I did already..and before you ask I called in today too..Tina just looks at her..Bette smiles .Hey my baby is sick..and I also got an appointment with Marisa at 1:00..so are you up for a shower now or later.now..ok lets go.Bette helps Tina in the shower..she holds her close as she washes her from top to bottomnever letting go …Tina is amazed at how gentle Bette is as she is bathing her…not a sexual act but an act of love….holding her close as she dries her off..wraps her in her robe and puts her back on the bed.Ill be right out baby.just relax.Bette jumps in the shower and out in 5 minutes ..coming back into the bedroom she asks Tina if she is hungry..and they go into the kitchen to finish her tea and Bette did her best to make Tina some toast. Tina was really enjoying watching Bette take care of her.

At 12:00 Bette gets Tina dressed and they were out the door by 12:30.waiting in the examination room.Tina is still dizzy..Bette was holding on to her.Marisa walks in.Hi Bette and Tina.Hi Marisa how are you..so Tina not feeling to good???? As Marisa starts to examine her..well it looks like a 24 to 48 hour bug.you should be feeling better by tomorrow.I am going to give you a prescription and make sure she finishes all the pillsHey Marisa no lousy tasting medicine I can give her.she always gives me this god awful shhhhh stuff to take when ever I am sick..smiling at TinaTina sayscute babe.just remember this could be you in a couple of days and me standing where you are nownow that I think about it pills will be fine.Bette do you feel sick..no Im fine.honestly.Ok if Tina doesnt get better and all of the medicine is gone make sure you bring her back in ..Tina no work for at least 3 days..Take care you twoBettes cell phone was ringing she takes it out looks and puts it back in her pocket..helps Tina get up and back out to the car..On the way home Bette stops and gets her prescription filled and then takes her home and puts her back to bed

Returns Alices phone calls..hey Alwhats up..Porter where the ***** have you been and where the ***** is TinaAlice.sure I call all afternoon and no one answers the ***** phoneI had a lunch date with Tina .Alice shut up and listen for a minute..Tina was sick all night and we just got back from the doctors and I put her back to bedOh my God Bette.Ill be right over to take care of Tina..Alice I think I can take care of my wife.thank you very much.you Porter.please..Alice I said please do not come over here I have every thing under controlcan I at least speak to Tina..handing the phone to Tina..Hi Alice sorry I forgot about lunch..thats no problem Tina ..is Bette really taking care of you?????? Yes Alice she really is taking very good care of meso please you dont have to come over..I have to go now my head ache is coming back .I have to lay downbye Alice.bye Tina..shutting off the phone.Bette just walks out of the bedroom10 minutes passed..Tina calls Bette..she comes back in the bedroom..do you need something baby.yes I do.What????? YOU..come here..Tina does everyone think I cant do any thing for you..that I cant take care of you.Bette every body sees you so put together.everything all in a row..perfect..no bullshit..I know the tender side of you.and in the last 24 hours I never loved you more.you were there for me when I needed youTee I always said I would take care of you..that didnt only mean in the bedroom.we even put that in our vows..I know Bette and you do take care of me..but to be honest I was a little nervous .I often wondered if I really got sick would you even take the day off from work..Im sorry babe but I will never doubt you again.you were wonderful all night taking care of me..I love you Bette.as they hold each other.I love you too Tina..so much.
