Another Chance {Chapter 1} *Fan fic contest*

Tina took a deep breath as she sat outside of Bette’s house. She gripped the steering wheel to the point that her knuckles turned white. She was sweating bullets—she was afraid, but she needed to get this off her chest. She finally took the keys out of the ignition and opened her door. She stepped out of her car and closed the door. She fixed herself up and began to walk towards her home that she used to share with Bette. She flung her hair over her shoulder and stood in front of the door. She knocked twice and sighed heavily. The door opened, and she smiled faintly. Bette looked at Tina and leaned against the door.

    “Tina—,” she smiled softly. “Hi.”

“Hey,” she rubbed her hands together. “Are you busy?”

Bette shook her head. “Well—actually I was on my way out to meet Jodi, but I have a few minutes.” She moved out of the way of the door. “Come in.” Tina walked into the house, and Bette closed the door. She shoved her hands in her back pockets and looked around the house.

“Like what you did with the place.” She turned around and smiled at Bette.

    “So how’s Angelica?”

Tina nodded. “She’s doing all right, she’s with Kit and Angus.” She grinned. “She’s trying to crawl.”

“That’s great to hear,” Tina stood in the middle of the living room.

“The reason why I came here was to talk to you.” She sighed and bit her bottom lip.

“What’s wrong?” Bette began to worry.

“I really have been thinking for the last few months now, and I really miss having you around. I just miss the way we were.” Tina looked down at her feet. “I just miss the moments that we used to have, and I really want you back in my life.”

“What are you trying to say Tina?” Bette took a step closer towards her. Tina looked up into Bette’s brown eyes.

“I never should have let you go. I would do anything—anything for another chance. I’m not afraid to make a fool out of myself.” Bette sighed and looked away.

“How can I believe you? How can I really know that you want to be with me? We tried remember—we tried to get our lives back together, but you didn’t want—,” Tina pulled Bette towards her and kissed her passionately. Bette felt her body tense up, but she relaxed against Tina’s body. She ran her fingers through her hair as she kissed her back. Bette moaned softly as Tina ran her tongue across Bette’s lips. Tina pulled away slowly and laid her head against Bette’s. Bette still had her eyes closed, and Tina grinned.

    1. Now that is the way that it should be. Talking about their lives and working towards getting to know each other again. I love B&T beginnings or rebeginnings (I know not a word but it worked here).

    2. This gave me my first smile of the day. I love it when Bette and Tina start to get back together after the tragedy that was thier life. I really have an affinity for this couple even though CI has had them at each others throats for three years and I hope in the end they are able to get together and be happy. PPS

    3. very sweet…i hope tina is being honest because I would hate for Bette to get hurt like that again, because I’m not sure if her little alpha heart can take it…pps
