As for the questions of why I brought Lara back in my story, it was because I myself is very conflicted in that issue. I loved Lara and Dana together, but I also want Alice and Dana to get a chance together. well, I guess you’ll know now where my heart finally ended up ;) Enjoy! :) Alice hung up the phone, but ended up standing in the middle of the room gazing in to space with Danas words ringing in her ears; Shes here. So Lara is here. She is there. Shes at Danas. Alice banged her fist in the desk. ***** Alice! You dont stand a chance now that Laras back! *****! She told herself. The thoughts about loosing Dana now was too painful to think about, so she went out to Tina, trying to get the picture of Dana and Lara alone at Danas out of her head. Dana hung up the phone and turned to face Lara. She couldnt believe she was actually there. She had been fantasizing about that moment for so long. Dana had just finished her breakfast when the doorbell rang. She went down and opened it, getting a real shock at the sight of Lara on her doorstep. Lara looked as cute as always with only a pair of jeans and a light-blue tank-top on. Her hair was drawn back in a ponytail on the back of her head. She was looking straight at Dana. I know you dont want me here Lara said but I really have to talk to you. Um, well, okay, come in. Dana said. They went upstairs and thats when the Alice called. Leaving Dana more shattered than ever. Look, Lara she said Im sorry for the way things ended between us Please dont apologize. Lara said quickly. I know I was putting too much pressure on you, and I shouldnt have. I am the one to apologize, and I am really sorry. She looked straight at Dana with her pure blue eyes, now clouded by sadness. They stood there in silence for a while, before Lara started to talk again. Well, Id better go. I just wanted to tell you that Im sorry for you know. And that I miss you. I miss you too Dana mumbled, looking down at the floor. Lara moved closer to Dana, til they were just millimetres away from each other. Lara put a hand under Danas chin, pushing it upwards til their eyes were locked. She leaned in and kissed Dana on the lips, first carefully, then more hungry. Dana opened her mouth to welcome Laras tongue. Lara put her arms around Danas waist, pulling her closer. Dana put her arms around Laras neck, still kissing her hungrily. Lara walked Dana to the couch and laid her down carefully, without loosing contact with her lips. Lara, wait Dana said. Whats wrong? Am I being to pushy again? Lara asked anxiously. No, its just that things have become a little complicated Dana said and got up from the couch. She sat down beside Lara and put a hand on her knee. Lara, Im engaged What? Oh Lara looked down at the floor. of course you moved on. Im so stupid! Lara cursed herself. No youre not. Dana answered. and I didnt move on. I just um.. well, Im still searching for love But you said Lara started. Well, its a long story. Dana interrupted her. But then, maybe Lara said. youll give me another chance?… Lara looked into Danas eyes. I I I dont know Dana looked away quickly. I have Err I think I think I have to think about it Oh, okay. Well, then I should probably be going Yea Dana answered. They got up and got to the door. Dana opened it slowly. So um, Ill call you if thats okay?… Lara said. Yea, yea, absolutely. Dana answered. So err bye. Lara went out of the door, and down the street. Dana stood there watching her for as long she could. She then closed the door and went up to the kitchen. Oh *****! What the ***** am I supposed to do now? She asked herself and banged her head against the refrigerator. She saw Lara in front of her. Lara. Laras blue eyes and red hair. Laras smile, and body. The old feelings were beginning to rise again. The feelings she thought shed left behind. Alice and Tina were sitting on the couch talking. I have to go to Bettes and get some stuff Tina sighed. Um.. yea, of course you do Alice answered. Can you come with me? Tee, I dont know Dont you think its better if you go alone? You could talk things through yknow? Alice, I dont want to talk things through, I want to get my stuff, and never see her again! Um.. well Alice didnt get any further, because someone knocked on the door. She went to open it. Bette was standing outside. Oh, um hi. Alice said. Is Tina here? Bette asked. Um Alice lowered her voice. Bette, Tina dont want to talk to you right now Well, I have to talk to her! Bette snapped. Bette moved in, walked pass Alice and in to the living room. Tee, Im sorry! She said. it didnt mean anything! I love you! I need you! You should have thought of that before you jumped in to bed with her! Tina said angrily. I never want to see you again Bette! But honey Leave me alone! Tina yelled. Bette, I think youd better leave now. Alice said. Bette watched them for a while before storming out of the apartment, leaving Tina completely destroyed. Alice comforted Tina as much as she could, and after a few hours she fell asleep. Alice put a blanket over her and went out to the kitchen. She started to make coffee when the doorbell rang. Wondering who it was Alice went to open, hoping it wasnt Bette again. She opened the door and Dana was standing outside, looking really chilly. Dana? What? Alice asked. Dont ask. I just came to say that I love you Al, and that I want you! What about Lara? Alice asked. I love you. Not her. I love you Alice. Alice stepped out to Dana, took her in her arms and kissed her repeatedly on the mouth before she embraced her. I love you too, Dana Fairbanks. She whispered in Danas ear.
