    A Single Mom Meets Someone New Ch 105

    Gillian pulled away from Bette and looked at her shocked. 

    “You Know!” Gillian said. 

    “Yes.” Bette said. 

    “What the Fuck Bette. You just let her cheat like that?” Gillian backed away slightly. 

    “Tina and I wanted to tell you together but I know that’s not going to happen any time soon.” Bette put her hands on Gillian’s shoulders. 

    “Tell me what?” Gillian asked. 

    “Your mom and I love each other very much.” Bette said. 

    “Stop right there. I don’t want to hear this.” Gillian started to cry.

    “You have to. We decided after the Zach and Quin were born to have and open relationship. I know what that sounds like but it works for us at least right now. We have rules. We come to each other every night and we never involve the kids.” Bette said. 

    “Well what am I chop liver.” Gillian said. 

    “No you are far from it we had always planned to tell you but since everything has been tense and you haven’t really been there. We wanted everything to be good before we stir the pot any more.” Bette said. 

    Gillian walked away from Bette crossing her arms. 

    “Say something.” Bette said. Gillian looked at Grace. 

    “Did you know?” Gillian asked. Grace shook her head yes. “I don’t believe this.” 

    “Everything is okay. Tina and I are fine.” Bette said. Gillian studied Bette’s face for a moment and then headed for the door. 

    “Are you okay?” Grace asked. 

    “Don’t even.” Gillian said and walked past her. 

    “Aren’t you going to go after her?” Grace asked. 

    “No and neither are you.” Bette said. 

    “You’re joking right?” Grace asked.

    “No am not. She’ll calm down. She just needs some time.” Bette pulled out her cell phone.

    Tina paced the hotel room. 

    “I wish you would relax.” Geri said buttoning her shirt. 

    “I don’t think you understand. Gillian will never forgive me for this. She blamed me for the last divorce and she will blame me for this one.” Tina said. 

    “Gillian’s a big girl. She’ll be fine.” Geri said. Tina looked at her realizing Geri had no idea the shit storm they were all about to go through. 

    “Tina your phone is ringing.” She said. 

    “Huh oh.” Tina pulled her phone out of her pocket. “It’s Bette.” 

    “Well answer it.” Geri said. 

    “Hello.” Tina said. 

    “We’re done. Meet at Joyce’s in an hour.” Bette said and hung up the phone. 

    Tina sank to the couch slowly.

    1. Hmm ok…did I get this right? Bette got Tina out of trouble by lying to be in open relationship, or I missed something? Or did Tina broke some rules and they’re done as in getting divrce? Damn, it’s frustrating! But have to say, open relationship is not plausible to me, simply can’t imagine Bette would go with it. So, hope you’ll post soon ang get me out of this misery, because looks like I don’t quite get it:)
