    The Dinner: Need I say more?

    Tina-

    "I’m losing my mind. Bette Porter is gonna turn my whole world upside down" Tina said to herself as she and everyone else began to take their seats. Tina saw that Eric had been placed at the other end of the table next to Alice Pieszecki

    "Maybe they’ll hit it off and Alice can take Jackass Magee off my hands" Tina thought smiling to herself. She then felt a hand on her shoulder.

    "Are you all right" Bette Asked sitting down

    "Never better" Tina answered looking into Bette’s eyes

    "Eric seems to be giving you the evil eye over there" Bette pointed out

    "Well, he’s just mad because I didn’t want to sit next to him" Tina Replied making it a point to look directly into Bette’s eyes

    "How long have you two been together?" Bette asked

    "Two years" Tina said

    " How come Eric didn’t bring you to the dinner I did last year?" Bette Asked

    "I was probably visiting my parents" Tina answered

    "Really do they live in California too?" Bette inquired

    "No, actually I’m from North Carolina" Tian replied shyly

    "Ah, I knew I detected a bit of an accent" Bette said

    "You must think it sounds stupid" Tina said as she picked up her wine glass

    "No, I think it’s cute,T" Bette said putting her hand on top of Tina’s other hand. Tina didn’t even mind that Bette had called her T.

    They stayed that until someone else required Bette’s attention. Tina turned her focus to the plate in front of her. Every so often she would sneak a peek at Bette when she thought that she wasn’t looking. Tina found herself daydreaming about the softness of Bette’s lips.

    "Tina, are you all right?" Bette asked. Tina blushed because she knew that she had been caught staring.

    "Yes, I’m fine. Bette, can I ask you a question?" Tina asked

    "I believe you just did but feel free to ask another one" Bette replied Laughing

    "Very funny, but would you like to go to lunch with me tomorrow?" Tina asked anxiously

    Tina held her breath at the idea of being rejected.

    "I would love to, but I can’t make it tomorrow. How sunday. We’ll have brunch" Bette explained

    7. I would love to hug Alice for getting Eric away from Bette and Tina. Bette is all but drooling over Tina and I bet that Tina is in the same state. Can’t wait for the passing of the earring back to it’s rightful owner.
