I am excited for the practice. We have a small gig in The Planet and it really makes me so nervous. I can’t imagine what Tina must be going through.

Tina. I grit my teeth when I think of her. How could she first give me such an amazing night and then just say she had her doubts? If that isn’t playing with feelings…

I really like Gary in general, but right now, I hate him. I hate him because there’s a big chance he’ll run off with the girl of my dreams. He could never appreciate her enough, or her love for him. It makes me sick with anger that he gets the girl because he’s the guy.

It’s just so fucking unfair. Just because a gay lifestyle is less accepted by community, she choses for the safe, straight one. Does that say anything about her personality? Maybe. But I can’t hate her. I could never in my life hate Tina Kennard.

I arrive at Gary’s house. Lee’s car is already there. Lee and Tuomas live in the same street, so they come together. I ring the bell and Seth opens the door.

“Hi,” he says, offering me a wide smile. He doesn’t hide my liking for me altough he knows I’m very gay. I think it’s cute. “Come in.”

I follow him upstairs. The image in front of my eyes makes me boil with fury, but I try to keep my cool. Gary is sitting in the couch, Tina in his arms, leaning against him. I put on a fake smile and try to ignore them, but I can’t. It’s so fucking hard.

I am more than glad when the bell rings again – wait a second, who’s short? All the band’s here… right, the girls were gonna come and watch the practice.

Seth, who had just sat down, gets up again. Five minutes later he returns with Lara, Helena, Dana and Alice.

“They do travel in packs,” Seth says, shaking his head in disbelief.

“We were here first!” Alice says in a childish way that makes everyone laugh. “Lara and Helena arrived just as Dane parked the car.”
