Chapter 215

 Noah is still at the kitchen, he’s worked another 5 minutes on his apple.

“Mommy, look now, I think I could eat it now.” He says happily.

“Okay, let me see.” Tina says and takes a seat next to him. “Wow, this is really good sweetie. You’re an artist.” Tina says and kisses the top of his head, before she stands up and finishes putting the cake into the microwave to thaw up a little. There’s a knock on the door. Danny runs to open it.

“Hey, Jules, hey Jessie.” He says and smiles as he gives both a hug.

“Hi, there little guy.” Jules replies.

“Hey, I’m not little.” He replies with a strict face.

“Sorry, little brother. “She replies and gives him another hug.

He runs back to the videogame. Jules and Jessie walks into the kitchen.

“Hey, Tina.” They both says.

Tina smiles as she turns around, giving both of them a warm hug.

“Hi guys. How are you?” Tina asks.

“We’re good, everyone’s good.” Jessie says.

“Where’s mom?” Julia asks.

“She’s in the bathroom with Andrea, changing her diaper.” Tina says. “She’ll be right out.” Tina adds.

“I’ll go and say hi.” Julia says.

Tina sees the look between Jessie and Julia before Julia walks down the hallway to Bette.

“Everything okay?” Tina asks concerned.

“Yeah, I guess.” Jessie replies.

Tina is not convinced at all.

“Come on Jessie, I know you, everything is not okay.” Tina says. “Come on, let’s sit down.” Tina says and pulls her over to the dining room table. “Talk to me.” She adds.

“Nothing is wrong, we’re just nervous and because of that a little tension is flying around.” Jessie says.

“Do you mind me asking, what kind of tension?” Tina asks.

Jessie looks down on her hands.

“Bickering and some shouting every now and then.” Jessie replies.

Tina takes Jessie’s hand in hers.

“Are you having problems again?” Tina asks.

“No, I don’t think so, I love her, more than anything, but since this pregnancy thing I’m getting more and more hormonal, I feel my body changing and Julia doesn’t seem to understand that, or want to understand it.” Jessie says as she wipes a single tear from her cheek.
