    Ashley fights back..

     Chapter 8: I’ll stand up for you forever..

     

    Getting back from lunch, Aiden and Spencer decided to watch TV until Clay got there. Wanting some form of contact, Spencer laid next to Aiden, snuggling up to him, and he held her without question. A few hours passed, as no words were spoken. Breaking the silence, Aiden sat up a bit, “Clay should be here any minute, you should probably get your things together.” And with that,

    -<knock on the door>-

    “Wow my timing is amazing!” Aiden said with a smirk. As Spencer began to put her things into a small  overnight bag, Aiden went over to open the door. “Hey Clay! How was the drive?”

    “It was long, but I’m here now! Spence you almost ready?”

    “Yeah just a second” Spencer grabbed a few things, and shoved them into her bag. She slung her bag over he shoulder. “Alright, I’m ready I guess.”

    “Call me when you get back okay? Or if you need anything!”

    “I will.”

    “You know you can count on me for whatever, whenever, and I mean it.”

    Pulling Aiden in for a hug,  “Thanks Aiden, I really do appreciate it”, Spencer said. The three of them exited the room, and Spencer shut and locked the door behind her.

    “Watch it!” A person yelled. Ashley was pushing and shoving through people, not caring who she knocked over in the process. Seeing an ATM sign in sight, Ashley began to run as if someone was chasing her. Out of breath, she slid her card into the slot. After typing in her PIN, she touched the “Check Balance” button.

    “Are you fucking kidding me!?” Ashley screamed staring at the balance before her, or lack there of. “How the hell am I supposed to live off of $50 a week!” Without second thought, Ashley withdrew all of what she had, and stuck the cash into her purse with the $5 she had sitting in her wallet. I guess I’m going to hitch hike then.. Ashley thought as she walked to the road, and stuck out her finger. Anything for Spencer, she thought over and over again, realizing how crazy this was. She walked down to road, following the direction she’d be going in, for a good 30 minutes before a car pulled over. It was an old white Honda, and a very muscular man sitting in the front seat.

    15. I ran across this gem of a story and found that you never bothered to finish it. So sad :( because I was hooked. I guess you won’t be finishing it since it’s been a year…I guess I’m just hoping.
