    Untitled – (Chapter: Chapter Twenty-Three)

Ashley was waiting for Glen and Glen entered Spencer’s room.  “You wanted to talk to me, Ashley,” Glen began with a smile. Are you finally kicking my sister to the curb so we could finally be together?

“No, I am not,” stated Ashley angrily as she kicked Glen in the stomach.  There is no we, Glen.  There is no us or our.  There never has been and never will be!  There is only a Spencer and I…Spashley.

“What the hell was that for?” Glen questioned in pain.  Are you crazy!

“You’re such an idiot you know that, right?” snarled Ashley.  What do you think I’m so angry for?  For trying to tear me and Spencer apart!  Ashley punched Glen again in the stomach and Ashley continued, “If you ever try to make a move on me again or in any way attempt to sabotage my relationship with Spencer, I will hunt you down and they’ll have to wipe your blood off the damn walls!  Is that clear?”

“Alright, I get it,” Glen stated with a nervous laugh. You don’t have to be so damn violent about it!

“You better understand it, Carlin,” responded Ashley coldly.  If you don’t then we have a serious problem, dude.  Now if you excuse me, I’m going to look for my number one.  Ashley went downstairs to find Spencer.

Meanwhile, Spencer was in the kitchen taking a bite out of her apple.  “You never said what happened to your hand,” Paula began.

“It’s nothing, Mom,” lied Spencer.  Paula gave Spencer an unconvinced look and Spencer continued with a sigh, “The nurse said at school told me that it would only take a couple of weeks before the cast is removed and I can use my hand to write again and it’ll be good as new.”

“What’s going on with you?” Paula asked with concern.  Are things between you and Glen any better?

“Nope things only got worse since Glen made a move on Ashley,” answered Spencer simply.  He kissed her at school, she didn’t kiss him back.  Ashley went after me and I was still upset and I punched a locker.  I know it was stupid of me to do, but I didn’t believe that Ashley didn’t have feelings for him.

“Are you and Ashley alright now?” Paula questioned with curiosity.

“Yeah, we talked and everything is fine now,” responded Spencer.  Thanks for asking.  If you’re going to ask about Glen, it’s going to take time for me to forgive him and trust him again.

    “I know,” Paula sighed.

Awhile later, Spencer and Ashley were at the park.  Spencer was on a swing at the playground.  “C’mon, Ash you don’t want to go on a swing?” asked Spencer with curiosity.

“Nah,” Ashley answered.  I’m fine watching my beautiful girlfriend.

“Don’t feeling like reliving your childhood?” questioned Spencer.

“I didn’t have much of one,” Ashley admitted.

“You so have to go on a swing then,” stated Spencer.  Please?  Spencer pouted and Ashley smiled.

“You know that I can’t say no to that face,” Ashley responded.  I’m a sucker for the Spencer Carlin pout Ashley sat on the swing next to Spencer’s.

“So whoever falls off the swing first has to pay for dinner,” explained Spencer.

“Deal,” Ashley agreed.  So are you ready?

“Yeah,” answered Spencer.  Spencer and Ashley began to swing.

    “1,” Ashley said.

    “2,” said Spencer.

“3,” Ashley said.  Ashley and Spencer continued to swing.  She fell off her swing first and then Spencer fell on top of her.  Ashley laughed and added, “I’m not as young as I used to be, babe.”

“Don’t say that,” stated Spencer. You’re older than me by only a few months and if you say it, it’s going to be more of a reality.  If you’re getting older, Ash that means I’m getting older, too.

“Sorry,” Ashley said in an apologetic tone.

“Thanks for breaking my fall,” replied Spencer.  Ashley chuckled.

“Anytime,” Ashley responded.  Spencer leaned in and kissed Ashley on her lips.  Ashley smiled and intensified the kiss.  Spencer stopped the kiss.

“I’ll get up,” stated Spencer. Spencer got up and Ashley got up as well.

    “So what’s next?” Ashley asked.

    “The slide?” said Spencer.

    “You’re on,” Ashley replied.
