Untitled – (Chapter: Chapter Twenty-Five)
Spencer and Ashley were on sitting on Spencer’s porch swing. Ashley laid her head on Spencer’s lap. Spencer was playing with Ashley’s curls. “I love your hair,” Spencer commented. You have nice, natural curls.
“You could keep the curls,” responded Ashley with a chuckle. It gets tiring having curly hair.
“I’ll hold you to that promise, Ash,” Spencer said.
“Okay,” stated Ashley. I’m a girl of my word. I’m sure you know that by now though. Ashley held out her pinky. Spencer held out her pinky as well. They interlocked their pinkies.
“Do you ever think about the future?” Spencer asked with curiosity.
“About us?” questioned Ashley with a smile. Definitely, I can’t imagine a life without you. Do you think about us?
“Yep,” Spencer responded. I have it all pictured in my head for awhile now.
“So how do you picture it?” asked Ashley. Spencer stroked Ashley’s hair.
“Well, I see us with a house,” Spencer answered.
“Of course,” stated Ashley. I see us adopting a kid and raising him or her, maybe two kids so he or she could have someone to fight with. I see us with a couple of pets, too. I always wanted a pet, but Christine always hated animals.
“Me too,” Spencer agreed. I want all of that, too. I don’t see us in LA for our future though.
“You see us in Ohio, don’t you?” concluded Ashley.
“Is that a bad thing?” Spencer asked.
“No,” answered Ashley. Not at all. Wherever you go, I’ll go with you. Spencer smiled.
Glen walked out of Spencer’s house. “Mom wanted me to let you know that dinner is ready,” Glen began.
“Alright,” said Spencer trying to sound civil. Tell her we’ll be there in a few.
“Could we talk?” Glen asked with a sigh.
“There’s nothing to talk about,” answered Spencer with a frustrated sigh. I have nothing that I have to say to you.
“We have to bury the hatchet sooner or later, sis,” Glen pointed out. You can’t be mad at me forever.
“Whatever,” responded an annoyed Spencer.
“C’mon, I’m sorry for messing your relationship up,” Glen explained.
“Sorry doesn’t cut it,” growled Ashley. Ashley sat up and got up.
“Spencer, please,” Glen stated.
“I need time to learn to trust you again,” responded Spencer simply. Spencer got up as well and they entered the house.
