“What are you afraid of, Spence?” Chelsea began with curiosity.

“I have a feeling that Ashley may want to go all the way with me tonight and I’m not ready to give that part of myself to Ashley yet,” I responded with a sigh.

“That’s understandable,” stated Chelsea.

“What’s wrong with me?” I sighed. I’m dating a gorgeous girl who’s so sweet, patient, and understanding, yet I can’t do that one thing for her.

“Well, it’s different for everyone,” said Chelsea. You’ll know when you’re ready. I’m pretty sure that Ashley wouldn’t pressure you into something you’re not comfortable doing.

“Yeah,” I replied. Hopefully, I won’t disappoint her.

Meanwhile, Ashley was working on fixing up the apartment for our anniversary. She was in the kitchen cooking. “Someone’s trying to get lucky tonight,” mused Aiden.

“Spencer could hear you say that,” Ashley sighed. Shouldn’t you be out with my sister? Ashley handed Aiden a ten dollar bill and said, “Take her out to a movie or go out to dinner. I want to spend some time with my girl.”

“What’s the big deal?” asked Aiden. She knows how you are, Ashley. You haven’t changed that much. You’re still that same girl whether you like to believe it or not. I can take the hint about leaving you girls alone.

“It’s different with her,” Ashley answered. I have changed.

“Different?” said a skeptical Aiden. How have you changed?

“Yes, it’s different,” Ashley replied annoyed. I’m in love with Spencer. I want our first time together to be special since she is a special girl. It’s not about getting lucky since I already am lucky. I know Spencer isn’t ready for that segment of our relationship yet.

“Okay,” said Aiden. Kyla and I weren’t as strong willed as you two are.

“Ew,” Ashley replied as she made a disgusted face. I so did not need to know that.

“Where is your girlfriend anyway?” asked Aiden.

“Oh, she’s out with Chelsea,” Ashley answered.

“Chelsea?” said a confused Aiden. Why does that name sound so familiar? Oh, now I remember. Spencer’s friends with one of your one night stands, classic!

“Don’t start,” Ashley sighed.

“Does she know what went on with you two last year?” asked Aiden.

“No,” Ashley answered. She can’t know. Do you have any idea how much she’s been through lately? I don’t want to mention that to her on our anniversary.
