This Takes Time

I was woken up in the morning my cell phone ringing and my arms still around Spencer, I ignored my phone and it kept ringing

“Ashley…”

“hm…”

“pick up your phone…” Spencer demanded not wanting to hear my ringer anymore

“ugh…” I rolled over and picked up my phone and Spencer just stayed rolled over sleeping

“hello?” I asked in a groggy voice

“hey…” it was Amanda

“hey…what’s up?”

“nothing…I just wanted to hear your voice…”

“oh…ok…you wanted to hear my voice so bad you called me at 7 in the morning?” I said slightly laughing into the phone

“can you blame a girl who has a girlfriend as hot as you?” then I looked over my shoulder and remembered when I would call Spencer just to hear her voice and I smiled at the girl sleeping next to me

“nope…” I said making her laugh a little

“so uh…I was gonna come over your house now…” Amanda said then Spencer heard that one through the phone and she sat up and opened her eyes wide and shook her head

“uh…um…that uh may not be such a good idea…”

“ok?”

“it’s just um…well kyla’s totally hung over and…”

“when did she drink last night?”

“after you left…”

“oh…well, I’ll come over and help her…”

“no it’s ok…I’ve got her…just um…I’ll call you when she’s better”

“um…ok…bye?”

“bye” I said hanging up the phone and took a deep breath then fell back onto my bed

“holy shit…that was close…” I said

“so…am I your dirty little secret?”

“no…more like just a secret…if we had sex…the you’d be my dirty little secret….”

“is it gonna stay like that?” Spencer said hoping I’d say no

“no…well I don’t want it to…I mean I’m upset Amanda told you to stay away from me…but last time you and I even tried something together you lied and broke my heart all over again…” I said to her

“…I know I did…and I’ve never felt so much guilt before, but I really want us to work ash…”

“I know…me too” I said then I was about to kiss her when my bedroom door opened
