    Ashley gives Spencer a ride home and Ashley asks Spencer out.

    CHAPTER EIGHT

     SPENCER’S POV:

    I am so glad Ashley offered me a ride home. I have to admit though, I am really nervous. Usually when I like a girl I have a tendancy to make a complete fool of myself, but you have already witnessed that. We are making our way to the parking lot and I decide to ask her if she liked cheerleading again since we were interuppted earlier.

    Spencer: So Ashley, what were you going to say earlier when I asked if you enjoyed cheerleading?

    Ashley: To be honest with you,I used to love cheerleading, but now it seems so superficial. I mean Madison is always riding my back about making better routines and the girls on the squad can be so stuck-up sometimes.

    Spencer: Who is Madison?

    Ashley: Oh she is my best friend. We have know each other since junior high.

    We arrive at Ashley’s car, which is a brand new black Porsche.

    Spencer: This is your car? What did you do win the lottery or something?

    Ashley: No, I just come from a wealthy family. My dad is in the music business and my mom, well, she is just a gold digger, and a good one at that.

    We get in the car and I give Ashley quick directions on how to get to my house. She pulls out of the parking lot and we pick up our conversation.

    Ashley: So umm…are you uhh…you know doing anything this weekend? (Oh my gosh, I am a nervous wreck around this girl! Why does she have to be so damn cute!)

    Spencer: No, not really why?

    Ashley: Well, I was just wondering since you haven’t gotten a chance to see L.A. maybe I could take you around town this Saturday.

    Spencer: (I am so ecstatic right now! I can’t believe Ashley just asked me out. I mean I’m sure she doesn’t mean it as a date, but at least it will give us a chance to hang out.) Yeah I would love that.

     Ashley: Great! (She said yes! She said yes! Wow, I just want to scream and do my happy dance, but that will have to wait. If she ever sees my happy dance it will blow my chances for sure.)

    A minute later, Ashley and I pull up to my house. I really did not want to get out of the car, but I had to go home sooner or later.

    Ashley: Hey Spence, before you go can I get your phone number?

    Spencer: As long as I can get yours.

    Ashley: Definitely.

    We both added our numbers into each others phones.

    Spencer: Well, I have to go. Thanks for the ride.

    Ashley: Anytime. I’ll see you tomorrow.

    Spencer: Bye.

    Ashley:Bye.

    I get out of Ashley’s car and wave goodbye before I close the car door. When I get to my front porch, I turn around and flash her a smile before I walk into the house.

    1. its obvious that ash likes spence but im sad that right now its all a game. i am just not all that excited to see spence get hurt. but as long as spashley comes out in the end…let the games begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    4. i agree with every one else, ash going after spence only for a game even if she truly does like her is going to hurt their relationship as lovers and friends but as long as they can get together in the end its worth it
