Part 2 Guess Who?

Spencer…

Mom was really getting on my nerves. We had only left the house for 3 minutes before she started asking questions about Ashley.

“So what’s with you two?” She asked as we got in the car.

“We’re just friends, mom, leave it at that okay.”  I pulled off and she just kept talking about how she thought the girls were very nice and that she loved the house.  She then mentioned something about staying for the night to get to know the other girls.  I was barely listening because my mind was stuck on killing Riley later.

“Wait!” I stopped the van so fast my mom nearly flew out. 
“Spencer, what’s wrong with you?”

“You’re staying the night?” That part of the conversation nearly ran right by me from all the talking she was doing.

“Yes, if that’s alright?”

“Mom you can’t stay the night.”

“Why not?”

“Because…because…I.” I didn’t have a good reason.   All I knew was that my mother could not wake up to Ashley in my bed and I could not wake up with her not in my bed.  But I guess I would have to for a night.

“See there is no good reason.”  She looked at me and smiled before turning and looking at the road while I drove on. 

The rest of the night was a blur to me.  We went shopping and sightseeing before we headed back to the house.  I still didn’t know how I could get the girls to be straight for one night.  Kamira and Riley always had someone in their beds and Sophie and Julia were always somewhere with their hands all over each other.  Sophie was a very shy girl but, when it came to Julia she was a freak.

                Then there was Ashley, my Ashley. We had just confessed our love for each other and I imagined that I would be falling asleep in her arms tonight.  This was not possible with my mom in the next room over.  There was no way this night would end well.

                I watched my mother as she walked up the drive leaving her bags for me to get.  I knew the girls would be surprised to see her.  They had expected me to drop her off at a hotel.
