We at SpahleyU are working on a couple different campaigns right now. One of them involves The Trevor Project, and all information about that drive will be up very soon. We have gotten great responses from a press release we just released a few days ago. After Ellen, GLAAD, and on The Advocate. So, everyone stay tuned for information about The Trevor Project Donation Drive and about the contests we will be having.

We will have three categories for you to compete in and trust me when I say we have managed to get some pretty great prizes. You can enter each category but you are only allowed one entry per category.

The categories will be as follows:

A music video – It has to be a video we can be embedded on SpashleyU. No shorter than 3 minutes, but no longer than 7 minutes. It has to be a Spashley video, of course and use the theme of Don’t Silence Us and/or Spashley is love. And it has to have SpashleyU.com somewhere in it, either at the beginning or in the ending credits.

A Postcard – Entries must be 4inches by 6 inches, be Spashley related and incorporate the themes of Don’t Silence Us and/or Spashley is Love. It must have SpashleyU.com  prominently displayed somewhere on the postcard. Any postcards containing personal images (such as off personal myspace pages) not owned by the contestant or without proof of consent will be disqualified.

And our favorite category….

Fan Devotional – You can send us anything that can be posted on the site that shows your love and devotion to Spashley. This is completely open to your own interpretation of what that means. There are a few guidelines though, nothing depicting any illegal acts will be accepted and neither will anything that can cause harm to yourself or anyone else. Otherwise, this one is wide open. Some ideas to get you thinking are, but in no means limited to…A picture with your walls covered in Spashley pics, Any video that isn’t a music video and would fit in the Video Category, a Poem or Essay you wrote about Spashley, you performing a song you wrote about Spashley… seriously, anything you can think of that fits into the guidelines we laid out.

We will begin accepting entries on April 18th. You need to be a registered member of SpashleyU.com to enter. We know it might take some longer than others to get their entries in so we will take entries in all categories until April 30th. We will then post them all on the site, on May 1st, so that there will be no unfair advantage by having it up early.

The winners will be chosen by vote, the ones that get the most votes in their category wins. Leaving a comment for the entry they like the best in each category will be the way they vote. People have to be registered to vote and only one comment per entry by the same registered user will be accepted, so you’ll want to tell your friends to register and vote for you. Voting will begin on May 1st as soon as all entries are posted and continue through May 31st.

Trust me when I say the prizes are good. We will announce them closer to the final submission date, so you want to start thinking about what you want to do.
