    Ashley’s P.O.V

    When I was younger
    I saw my daddy cry
    And curse at the wind
    He broke his own heart
    And I watched
    As he tried to reassemble it
    And my momma swore that
    She would never let herself forget
    And that was the day that I promised
    I’d never sing of love
    If it does not exist

    I never thought id find love.

    I saw lots of things growing up but love wasn’t one of those things.

    I wasn’t hugged everyday or told I was loved.

    But when I saw you that day it was overwhelming.

    It was like fate. But I didn’t believe in fate…

    I didn’t know these feeling that were going on inside of me.

    I avoided you at first, unsure of what else to do.

    All I can say is you must have had a feeling we were meant to be together because you didn’t back off.

    You tried being my friend even when I made it impossible for you.
