    Ch. I do? Spencer’s POV:              

                     It was 4:40 and still no Ashley. She’s not coming, I thought sorrowfully. The wedding’s about to begin and she’s not here.  My entire body was trembling from anxiety. Here I am, in my brilliant wedding dress that my mother dragged me to like millions of different stores to pick out, all ready to get married. I’m the only thing that isn’t ready, though. Was I too rash? Have I made a big mistake? Is this really what I want? What if we get married and later on down the line I find out I’m not happy with him? Or am I just having typical last minute fears? “Time for your big wedding!” my dad sang cheerfully as he came in. Yeah. Time for my big wedding.  

                             I was a nervous wreck as my dad walked me up the aisle. Half of me was screaming for me to get the hell out of there; that I couldn’t do this that Ashley would always mean more to me than Aiden. The other half screamed back that I had to go through with this, that I wasn’t gay, and that I loved Aiden and that was that. Ashley was a thing of the past. My mother had paid a great surprise visit before we started the wedding, telling me how I was going through with this and that it was ‘what’s best for me’. I avoided the looks of our friends and family as they all watched me make my way up to the altar, where Aiden was waiting. He smiled the happiest smile I’ve ever seen. The day before he was telling me about the house he wanted to buy for the two of us and also for the future children that we would have. I knew today meant everything to him. Another reason why I’m freaking out inside. I was blanking out; the entire time I was thinking of Ashley and whether this was the right thing. Is it too late to change my mind? But was I really willing to give up my friends and family to be with Ashley? I was sweating from nervousness on the altar. I couldn’t breathe- everyone was focused on us, and Aiden was looking back with me with such joy and love in his eyes. Suddenly the words “I do” pierced through my thoughts. Those two words brought me out of my dreamland instantly. What?! “-And do you, Spencer Marie Carlin, take Aiden Dennison to be your lawfully wedded husband, to –” BAM! The doors at the end of the cathedral burst open. Everyone turned around to see what it was. Ashley?! She was breathing hard like she’d sprinted all the way here from Alaska or something. She stood up after she caught her breath, looking right at me. “Spencer.” She whispered, pleading to me with her soft, brown eyes.
