    Ashley and Spencer journey to a place from the past then journey somewhere they hadn’t planned on.

    Ashley looked behind Spencer’s head. A scowling man in uniform was staring at them, arms folded across his chest.

    “We’re sorry. We just…” Spencer stammered before the man silenced her.

    “You know you’re not allowed to be here after school hours, right?”

    “We used to be students here. We were just trying to take a little stroll down memory lane, you know?” Ashley said with a smile. He didn’t look impressed. “Ok, well…now we’re going to take another stroll—back to my car.”

    “Not so fast. You’re coming with me.”

    Spencer sighed and glared at Ashley, who’s jaw had dropped a mile. This was not part of her magical plan.

    Suddenly, two more uniform-clad men walked towards them and before you could say, “this wasn’t supposed to happen like this,” Ashley and Spencer were being handcuffed and led to a patrol car.

    Ashley couldn’t see Spencer’s face, but she was pretty sure she didn’t want to. The officers slammed the door of the car, leaving them alone for a moment.

    “I’m so sorry, Spencer.”

    “Ashley, do you realize that if this goes on my record, I could lose my job?”

    The brunette shook her head, “I don’t know what else to say. I’ll tell them I made you follow me. I’ll tell them you tried to stop me!”

    “Whatever, Ashley. I can’t talk about it right now, ok? It’s just making everything that much worse.”

    Ashley didn’t speak again until they reached the police station. Luckily the officers placed them in the same holding cell after they were booked.

    “Don’t we get to make a phone call or something?” Ashley asked, clinging to the bars as an officer walked away.

    “We’ll come and get you when it’s your turn.”

    “Great,” she replied, turning around to look at Spencer who had made herself as comfortable as possible on the narrow cot, “I guess we could call your dad, right?”

    “Oh yeah, I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to come and bail us out of jail. Never mind that I’m twenty-eight years old and way too old for stuff like this to happen. Never mind that I’m going to lose my job. Never mind that…”

    “Ok, I get it,” Ashley said, interrupting the furious blonde, “I get it and I’m sorry. If I could go back in time and make it so this never happened, I would and you know it!”

    9. perfect that was one of the best chapter, proposing in jail was so cute and than having to call daddy to bail them out sort like the old days if in the old days they went jail, you know what i mean, excellent post.
