No One's Gonna Love You Like I Do – (Chapter: The Weeks Go On.)
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. One week. My mom still hadn’t come home. Spencer was still amazing. My dad was still being ambiguous about where my mom really was, but she obviously wasn’t here.

Summer is finally here. Still no mom. My dad finally told me where she went though. Supposedly she was tired of trying to fit into a life that she was made for. She was tired of trying to be a mother when thats not what she wanted. She wanted a career and nothing else. She didn’t even want my dad. The “work” thing that they had to go to was really a therapist visit and a night to try to fix things. I get a post card from my mom every month or so. She is in Massachusetts working at a hospital..far far away from me and my dad. They are officially divorced. That happened about three months ago. My dad actually seems happy. He is starting to date again. He has a date tonight.
“Hey dad, where are you taking the lucky lady?”
“We are just going out to dinner and a movie, honey”
“Alright, well, Spencer is coming over..and spending the night”
“I don’t want to come home and be disgusted” He looks at me knowingly.
“Alright, Alright…geez. We will have a PG date. Can I say the same for you?”
“Yes, Ash, honey. I am still not completely over your mom. This is just a date. Nothing serious.”
“Alright dad, I love you. I just want you to be happy again.”
We hear the door bell ring, and I know that it’s my baby. I run downstairs and answer the door. When I get there I am slightly out of breath, and she notices.
“Out of breath, Ash?” She asks.
“No..what..are..you..talking about?” I try to play it off cool. That didn’t work.
“Ha, right. Did you run to get the door?”
“What? No, why would I do that?”
“Because you love me”
“Well that would be a good reason, so I suppose I could tell you that I did”
“I’m glad I can still make you run to the door.” kiss “That you still get that excited.” kiss. The kiss becomes more heated as I lead her into the house still kissing. We reach the couch and continue to make out. My dad comes down and catches us. Again.
“Uh huh.” cough. cough. “This doesn’t look PG to me, Ash”
“Shit, sorry dad. We just caught up in the moment”
“Ya, sorry Arthur. Won’t happen again.”
I look at Spencer and she has her hands behind her back crossing her fingers. I love her.
“Thanks Spencer. Alright girls, I am leaving. I will be back by 11 or so. Don’t have too much fun. I will see you when I get back.”
“Bye dad!!”
“Bye Arthur!!”
Me and Spencer are finally alone. We go back into the living room and sit down on the couch. I sit on one side, and she sits between my legs. We watch a little TV, and then decide to watch a movie. We decide on Cruel Intentions. One of my favorites. We fall asleep on the couch during the movie. We are officially an old boring couple. This needs to change.
