    Spencer is having a bad first day.

     

    The walk to the hole was a quiet one. Ashley leads the way with me in the rear feeling increasingly more uncomfortable with every staircase we walk up and every hallway we cut down. This place is a maze and I really hope that sometime soon someone, anyone, will give me that tour I’ve been promised.

     

    My watch reads 7:57 and according to my schedule my 2nd period AP Lit class will be ending soon. Whatever, it’s my first day, it’s only natural to be a little late. I can actually hear classes going on all around us as we make our way down a particular hallway. Gage cuts in front of Ashley to enter a room in the middle of the hall. Ashley stops walking and waits for Gage outside and I wait too. I peer over Ashley’s shoulder to see where Gage has entered and I notice the door reads “Faculty Lounge.” My eyebrows are raised behind Ashley’s back and Gage emerges with an ice tray. We continue our wordless journey down the hall and up yet another flight of stairs.

     

    We are now on the top floor of the school and Ashley opens a small wooden door that reads “Band Room” on it in gold letters. The room looks very much like an attic. It’s a small dark and dusty room with aged band equipment skewed about. She crosses the room in three lengths to another door directly adjacent to the one we just came through. This wooden door has the words “AP Room” slanted across it in raised gold lettering.

     

    Ashley knocks twice waits and then knocks three more times. There’s no response so she opens the door and careens in, beelining for the back right wall. She zigzags around the many couches, chairs, pillows, and old mattresses that litter the floor and space until she reaches her goal. All four walls, I notice, are wooden and heavily graffitied. The wall that Ashley has approached is the only one with a window. She bends down below it and removes a wood tile from its position. With some grunting and reaching she finally retrieves a large bottle of Grey Goose Vodka. Once her target is acquired she makes her way back towards the center of the room before jumping over battered old blue chair and getting comfortable within it.

    2. I can’t really tell if Ashley really wants Spencer or just wants cause she turned her down. Although, until Ashley gets her shit together, I would be interested in seeing a thing form between Spencer and Gage…the possibilities

    9. That was a great update. I love that spencer tackled Michelle to the ground. Ashley is way childish, shes gonna have to talk to spencer or grow up a bit, but I guess she isn’t classified as a baby for nothing.

    15. by the way, you are one of my favorite authors on here. hopefully one day im as great as you. your character development is phenomenal… I feel like it’s a real life thing or something you write so well. have you been in a boarding school? cuz you seem to haver it spot on.

    17. Ok, so I just caught on to this story. It took me a while to read, so many pages, but I’m not complaining. I love long updates. The story is so great. I love boarding school themes. I really want to know what’s up with Ashley too, does she want Spencer because she rejected her, or is she really liking her? Kelly and Sara…wow, lol. And I like Gage, she seems really cool. Can’t wait to see the story behind all the characters, great update, PMASAP!!!!!

I know I already left a comment, but I was thinking, (yes, I’m probably becoming weirdly obsessed with this story, bus pay no attention to that) that little interaction with Jess and Gage makes me wonder. Did something happen in the past between them? Maybe I’m reading into it too much, but it just seems like there was something there. Guess I’ll just have to wait and find out, but you need to hurry and PMASAP because this is gonna bother me until I find out, lol.

    21. I’m (almost!) speechless!! The first chapter was very good…that was bloody brilliant!! I loved the way we got to learn more about the characters, saw some action and were left begging…yes begging (I’ve read the other comments!) for more…PMASAP!!!
