    Kelly and Spencer have their first date. Spencer meets one of her new girlfriends oldest buds.

                    I was going to see my Spencer. She was mine now.  I had waited for her for years and now she was mine. I loved her. But she didn’t love me back. Not yet anyway.

                    I was getting ready for my first weekend of high school, and my first ever as Kelly’s girlfriend. I was looking forward to it. I wanted to see her.

                    “You ready, Spence?” I asked my beautiful girlfriend.

    She kissed me. “Yeah, babe. Let’s go!”

    “Come on, then!” I pulled her out of her room, down the stairs and out the door.

    “Where are we going?”Spencer asked.

    “It’s a surprise!”

    “Okay!” Spencer sounded excited.

    We walked down the street hand-in-hand. In this little Ohio town no-one cared who was with whom, and everyone was very accepting. So we could go out and be out at the same time and no-one would discriminate. I loved it. I could be myself. And be with the girl I loved, Spencer.

    I looked over at the girl who was walking beside me, and smiled. Spencer just happened to look at me at the same time, and she also smiled.

    “What’s so funny?!” Spencer jokingly asked me.

    “Hmm…Nothing… just admiring the view!”

    Spencer did a little spin. “Like what you see?” she was being flirty.

    “Yeah. A whole lot.” I said. I pulled her to me and kissed her full on the lips. Spencer kissed me back. When I broke the kiss, and then looked up.

    “Oh! We’re here!” I pulled Spencer into the building.

    “Where are we?”

    “Hmm… Just a little shop.”

    Spencer looked around the small café. She seemed pleased.

    “How come I’ve never noticed this place before?”

    I took her back outside and she looked around.

    “Oh. That makes sense. I’ve never been in this area?”

    “Yup, that’s right.”

    “What is this place?”

    “A little café my friend owns.”

    “Oh! Cool!”

    Spencer walked over to a table and sat down. I went over and sat down across from her. My friend walked over to our table from the back.

    “Hey Kelly!”

    “Hey Carmen!”

    “So ya finally decided to come see me?”

    “Actually I wanted you to meet someone.”

    Carmen looked over at Spencer. “This her? The girl you been talking about?”
