How She Turned My Life Upside Down – (Chapter: Intro)

I remember Ashley walking home with me. I remember eating dinner and watching Flika. I remember waiting for ten to roll around so my sister, Anne, would be asleep and my parents would be gone. I remember running to my room, Ashley right behind me, when we seen headlights. I remember talking quietly till one and I remember two gun shots and footsteps heading towards my room.

Ashley and I hadn’t seen each other in three years. Ashley’s father died when she was thirteen and her mother couldn’t stand to live in their house so they moved. She is my best friend and my mom finally got enough money to fly Ashley to see us. I had something to tell her, that was really important to me, that I was gay. I never told anyone because I wanted her to be the first to know, but now I’m backed into a corner staring at Ashley sprawled on a cement floor.

I didn’t get a good look at the guys face before he shoved a bag over my head. He was strong and I couldn’t break free of his hold. He must of not expected there to be two of us because he only had one bag, that had some kind of sleeping gas, so I guess he hit Ashley over the head, which would explain the blood.

I looked around the dark room but all I could make out was Ashley. It smelt horrible and it was freezing, so maybe we’re in a freezer. I was contemplating this, to keep my mind off of Ashley, when I heard more footsteps. The door swung open and I gasped at he man standing in front of me. I knew him, and the women standing next to him…
