Ashley’s POV

RING RING RING.

I’m driving home from work and a get a phone call…Aiden no doubt…Im searching aimlessly through my purse for my phone.

RING RING RING.

Ashley: "Hey Aiden."

Aiden: "Hey Ash! You won’t believe what happened to me today." He says all giddy.

Ashley: "What happened?" I ask just as giddy. I wanna know what has him so happy.

Aiden: "I don’t wanna tell you right now."

Ashley: "Um…then why did you call?" I say a little annoyed.

Aiden: "Because i wanna get you all hyped up! I’ll tell you when you get home. I think you’ll love this."

Ashley: "Bye Aiden."

Aiden: "Haha. Okay. Bye.

CLICK.

As i’m driving home, i think of all the possible things that could have him so happy. Maybe he got that really good agent he was talking about. I don’t know, but either way, it must be pretty good to make me happy. So i’m actually kinda excited to see what it could be. As i pull into the parking lot of our apartment, i see Aiden waiting outside to carry my bags in.

Ashley: "Hey."

Aiden: "Hey." He says giving me a peck on the lips.

Ashley: "So what’s the big surprise?" I ask a little impatient.

Aiden: "Come on, I’ll tell you inside." We walk up the flight of stairs into our apartment.

Ashley: "So…?"

Aiden: "Okay, so you know how i went to my interview with that big shot talent agent right?" I nod. "Well, I got the agent. And it turns out that the big shot talent agent is…Spencer."

Ashley: "Wait, who?"

Aiden: "Spencer…you know, Carlin."

My heart stopped for just a second as i soaked this in. Spencer Carlin, the girl i was so madly in love with. The one whose heart i broke for my own selfish reasons. The one i haven’t been able to stop thinking about lately, is going to be working with the guy i left her for. The guy i married. I’m not sure if i should be happy or worried…or what! All i know is that, i think i may have Spencer back into my life.

Aiden: "Ash…aren’t you going to say something?"

Ashley: "Uh…wow? I mean…thats great! So you got the agent?!" I ask trying to sound more speechless about the fact that he got the agent he wanted, than the fact that the agent is Spencer.

Aiden: "Yea! And Spence was totally cool about it!"

Ashley: "Spence?"

Aiden: "Yea! And…i also invited her and her finance out to dinner with us tomorrow night!"

Ashley: "Fiance?"

Aiden: "Yea, she’s getting married! Which is good! Her chick is really beautiful Ash. Aren’t you excited?!"

I don’t know why, but i feel the most jealous i’ve ever felt in a very long time. Spencer is getting married, and to a beautiful girl at that. I all of a sudden feel very horrible.

Ashley: "Yea. Yea. How does she…uh…look?" I ask looking up at him, not realizing i had my head down this whole time.

His face drops a little.

Aiden: "She looks great, Ash. Really great!" I nod, not really knowing how else to answer.
