    Forgetting Bella Swan

Three months went by without much mention of Bella. Aubrey tried to find out as much about Bella as she could, but Jacob wouldn't utter another word about her. The only time he mentioned her was a few minutes ago when he brought up her wedding.

"…I was just thinking that maybe I should, you know…go. You know, just to show her that I'm okay and I'm happy now. I know it would do us both a world of good. What do you think, Bree?"

Even though they were talking over the phone, Aubrey could hear the nervousness in his voice. She desperately wanted to tell him not to go, not to have any thing to do with her anymore. This Bella girl had her chance with him and she ruined it. It was Aubrey's turn now, and she sure as hell wouldn't screw it up. On the other hand, allowing Jacob and Bella to get close again would give her the opportunity to learn more about Bella. Even though Aubrey could care less about Bella, Noemi needed to know about her. Although she didn't know why, Aubrey was going to find out as much as she could. Noemi had always looked out for her and had never steered her wrong before, so of course she would look out for her in return. Besides, if she is this desperate to get information about Bella, it must be important!

    "Bree?"

Aubrey came out of her thoughts.

"Yeah. You should definitely go. It'll make you feel better and it'll make me feel better that you feel better, okay? Just go on and have a good time."

    "Really?"

"Really, really! Go, babe. It'll be good for you." She insisted.

"Wow, I didn't think you'd be so cool about this. Thanks, baby doll. I won't be there too long. Maybe we can hang out at the beach after I get back?"

"Sure! My parents aren't going to be home until tomorrow morning. They went to hunt in a different place."

"Oh well its good to hear that they're respecting the treaty."

"Right." Aubrey said as she dipped her finger in the banana pudding that Elizabeth had made her before she left.
