Forever Yours – (Chapter: Chapter 3: Friends)

"So, you were shot in the heart?" Caleb asked as he took a seat across from Aiden.

Aiden nodded his head vigorously and replied, "Yep.  His name is Aiden.  He was shot through the heart and didn’t croak.  Pow pow!"  Caleb chucked and shook his head briefly.

"Hey Aiden," Ahsly said as she approached the two guys.  Spotting Caleb, she spun on her heels and called "Bye Aiden" over her shoulder.

"Hey wait!!" Aiden called after her, "Ash, meet Caleb.  Sit with me today."

Ashley turned and glared at him.  After letting out a brief laugh, she set down her lunch tray and said, "I’ve already met the British man.  You just happen to be one of the slow ones at King High."  She picked up her tray and turned to find Spencer.  "And I’d rather sit with the cheer bitch than with you two," she added playfully.

Caleb arched and eyebrow and opened his mouth to say something.  "Ashley Davies," Aiden answered, thinking that Caleb wanted to know who the brunette was.

"I know.  She was over at the Carlin’s place last night.  She seems nice."

"Nice? Pffft.  Ashley nice? Heh, no.  Dude, you get in her way, she’ll trample you with her words.  Oh, don’t piss Spencer off because you have no idea what Ash can do to you when you piss Spence off."

"What’s a guy got to do to woo her?" Caleb asked.

    "Em, woo? As in date?"

Caleb nodded gently and said, "Yes."

Aiden snorted in amusement.  "You can’t woo Ashley.  Hell, no guy can woo her."  Aiden began to stuff his belongings into his bag.

    "And why not?"

Aiden laughed, "She’s gay.  Haven’t you hear?" At that, he picked up his lunch tray and walked away.
