Death of the girl next door – (Chapter: Murder in the first)
Last night I worked up enough nerve to do it. I hid in the closet while she took a shower, then she got a glass of orange juice. Twenty minutes, later I knew she was ready. I came out of the closet and a look of fear crossed her eyes as I stood at the end of her bed. What a rush, like she knew what was coming. She had enough energy to get out bed and try and run. I let her see me pull it out. When the light hit just right, it gleamed. I knew it was time to begin my master piece. My heart was beating out of my chest. I looked into her eyes and saw the terror in them as she realized that her friend was here to take her last breath. It calmed me. She reached for me as I cut her throat. It was a beautiful sight. The cut was clean I was watching the life slowly drain out her. I quietly shut the door, eagerly awaiting to see tomorrow paper.
Spencer was in the shower thinking about her dinner with Ashley last night. It went well, even better than she hoped, because Ashley could still get to her like nobody else with just a look. When they touched she would completely come undone. It made her giddy like a school girl, but she forced herself to remember that Ashley was not dependable. Spencer got dressed and grabbed a bagel, her phone went off on the kitchen counter. She saw that there were 8 missed calls and 3 voice mails. It was Ashley, so as Spencer got in her car she called her back. Ashley answered immediately. As as ash saw Spencer’s number she could breath again "Helloareyouok."
"Yeah Ash, breath what’s wrong, you sound panicked."
"I was reading the paper and the article said a 25 year-old female with blond hair was found murdered this morning and I had to make sure you were ok, and when you did not answer your office or cell it took ten years off my life." said Ashley.
"Ash I’m, ok I was just heading into the office."
"Ok Spencer, now that I have talked to you, I can get back to work."
