Creative writting Campaign Entries – (Chapter: Expect the unexpected when it comes to Ashley Davies.)
Her strong arms are wrapped around my trembling body. Whispering soothing words into my ear as my tears soak her shirt. Being wrapped up in the arms of Ashley Davies is my escape from this agonizing reality. I shouldn’t be here though, not in the arms of the girl who broke my heart. A shocking confession from an old flame forces her to make a choice and declare her love for one of us. Silently I beg her to choose me because I don’t want to lose the love of my life and the best thing that’s ever happened to me. This may sound selfish but its not because I know I complete her like she completes me. Before she could answer the sound of gun shots pierced through the air and through Clays’ body. Prom night is supposed to be one of the best nights of my life but instead it’s the night I lost my brother. The night my entire world came crashing down.
I don’t know how long we remained in that position or at exactly what time I fell asleep but as I awake in Ashley’s bed surrounded by her scent I hope that last night was a dream. As I turn around anxious to see a beautiful brunette I am greeted with my reflection in a mirror on her night stand. The dried mascara on my cheeks and my blood shot eyes was the only conformation I need to assure me that last night was in fact a reality. I catch a glimpse of a note addressed to me on her pillow. Though hesitant at first I open it and began to read.
Dear Spence,
I need to get away for awhile. I don’t know exactly where I’m going but I will figure it out soon enough. I’m really sorry about Clay but I don’t do death well and me staying would just make it harder for you. I love you always and forever!
