Crazy In love – (Chapter: 9; let the game begin)

"O.k. Angel I’ll give you that. Yes I do prefer the ladies but I’m not into labels. I believe you love the person not the gander." I concluded she was a bit surprised that I answered so directly and I liked it but she snapped out of it quickly enough.

"Well I’m gay! No labels no shit. All men are beasts!" she said as I finished freeing her. She was up on her feet in seconds checking how good I sealed everything up.

"Really" I said considering my approach "you have never met a nice or a kind man?" I asked her writing my notes on my notepad. "Nope" she answered swiftly as she finished going through the room.

She chose to settle on one of the chairs with her legs hugged to her chest. She felt exposed and she was trying to cover herself up. "What are you writing there?" she asked annoyed "look for yourself" I said handing her my notes. She took them and after she finished said "I don’t fell exposed…" and handed them back to me. "There are no secrets between us. I’ll never hide anything from you I promise." Her head snapped up and with a serious face said "Don’t make promises you can’t keep" it was like she was in a trance for a second. Her eyes were suddenly so lifeless… "You know you have said that sentence before, actually you and Spencer have said it" I said carefully but she just looked down.

"Did someone promise you or her something and didn’t keep it?" I asked trying to push the subject. "No" she said still looking down. Umm "did you make a promise and didn’t keep it?" I tried, a bad move. "No! stop asking about it!" she jumped out of the chair and moved to the door trying to open it. She knew it was locked but she wasn’t thinking clearly.

"O.k. O.k." I said reconciling. Still sitting I didn’t want to threat her. "Back to men. How about you father wasn’t he nice?" I asked writing down about ‘promises’ for latter.

"I don’t have a father! It’s her father!" she said still angry but calming down.
